Those Darn Squirrels

The chirp of the squirrels come from above

As they pelt us with nut shells and twigs.

They are planning their attack,

And we must anticipate their every move.

The eggs ended up with a chunk of shell,

Now we must plan a counter offensive.

Cover the food as we cook it on the grill,

Don hats and glasses to deflect their attacks.

From our squirrel friends we hope for peace

So we might find a little quiet in the forest.
