Not Just a Dad

She almost grown now, more adult than child;

I remember you were nervous before she arrived;

But I knew you would be a good dad

Long before she came into your life.

Look at her now, how she has grown.

Sure, she may be a little awkward at times,

But honestly, what teenager isn’t?

So keep on guiding her, and loving her,

And watching her grow into a young lady,

Knowing you’re doing all you can

And that others know you to be

A great father and a good man.
